“OpenAI announced today that they’re feeling a little hurt by the things people are saying about ChatGPT. “It’s unfair, b-b-b-ec-c-c-ause, we worked so hard on putting all that data people thought was private or copyrighted into our system, and and and now people are saying it’s a terrible idea?” they said through blustering sobs.
“How would you feel… if we came to your work and said ‘oooh that’s… that’s.. uh. That’s bad, what you did there. Grooooosssss.’ Doesn’t feel very nice, does it?” Open AI continued.
Critics of AI software countered that there have been some notable errors and even deaths related to AI use. Not to mention the immense amount of environmental damage being done by the unfathomable amount of electricity required to run ChatGPT. These critics also accused OpenAI of generating an artificial market bubble around a deeply flawed and unsustainable tech product. And that ultimately this is all a cynical attempt to rake in billions of dollars from gullible venture capitalists.
OpenAI then shouted, “This isn’t about you! It’s about OUR feelings!” as they stormed out of the room and crawled back into their spider hole to mope and cry.

As a horror baby (and as someone repulsed by body horror) I LOVE it. I was hours in before I realized I’d been killing enemies I could recruit!

Update on my play-through:
Got a son (I named him SonBoy)
Since I got him, he’s learned to walk, talk, and shoot a gun (he’s good at gun).
I’ve kissed all the roaches in my apartment and I think they’re unionizing (they have developed speech??).
I briefly thought I threw a grenade at a bunch of special needs kids who’d been mutated by the sun (you can imagine my relief when I learned that I’d thrown a grenade at a bunch of other mutants).
Helped a neighbor with her laundry.
Made pizza rolls.
Paid my rent. Even in the apocalypse.
Became the Deputy Janitor, because if we’re doing the apocalypse, we damn well better have clean toilets.
It’s not perfect, but it’s damn close. My choices matter, and the core narrative is really, really sweet. It’s not just a hack-and-slash RPG. It’s the end of the world, and… it sucks. For everyone. But even if you’re a mass of tentacles tomorrow, you’re still a person.
They’re still your neighbors, and you’re still you. Or, you’re the version of you that the end of the world’s made you into. The choice is yours!
